Phase 2: Foundations for Success
The sales contract is signed, financing is secured, and the timetable for construction is set. What's next?
|
First, the site for your new home is prepared. Any existing structures are demolished,
trees are cleared, utility lines marked, and then it's time for the foundation (literally)
of a Wausau Home. The site for the foundation is excavated and the forms for the foundation
are set up. At last, the foundation is poured, insulated, and allowed to cure before the next phase begins: construction.
|
While the site is being prepared, the team at the Wausau Homes factory is busily preparing
the components for your new home.
Flooring modules are created for each floor of the home.
Walls are built in special jigs, with the windows are laid in right at
the factory to insure a tight weather seal.
|
Special jigs are used to construct the roof trusses as well to insure
they'll be plumb and square when they arrive at the job site.
Finally, the modules are packed onto special flatbed trailers
for shipment to the job site.
