About Hechimovich Homes, Inc.

Hank and Cindy Hechimovich founded Hechimovich Homes, Inc. in 1996 and became part of the Wausau Homes, Inc. (WHI) team in 1997. "We became aware of the WHI building system when we constructed a model home in our own subdivision in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin," says Cindy. "We were pleasantly surprised by the number of house plans that WHI had to offer. We were also surprised when we learned that WHI can build a house from any floor plan."

The WHI builder in the Fond du Lac area walked Hank and Cindy through the building process. "We were impressed with the relative ease in the construction process," says Hank. "We'd also 'stick-built' a model home in the same subdivision. The time involved and also the amount of overages made us feel that the WHI product was easier to construct, closer to the proposed price, and constructed in much less time. We were able to put the home up for sale in a relatively short time."

The builder in Fond du Lac informed Hank and Cindy that WHI was looking for a builder in the Washington, Dodge, and Ozaukee county area. The Hechimoviches contacted them and "the rest is history," says Cindy. "Now over 50 homes later, we are happy to say we still feel the WHI product is a quality product."

The ease of construction shortens the building time considerably, say the Hechimoviches. "We have also chosen subcontractors (electrician, plumber, HVAC, dry wall installer, and so forth) who understand the quality we expect in our homes. Also, with our subs being local people, we can guarantee service after the sale. We feel we build a quality product based on the testimonials of our past customers."
